Belt Cleaner / Scrapers (Secondary)

In Tanzanian industries, even after primary cleaning, some material can stick to the belt or cling to pulley surfaces. Secondary belt cleaners, or scrapers, are designed to remove this remaining material, ensuring the belt stays clean and production runs efficiently.

These scrapers are mounted near the head pulley or at transfer points, just after the primary cleaner. They use polyurethane, rubber, or composite blades to remove fines, dust, or sticky residues that the primary scraper may miss. This prevents material buildup, reduces spillage, and protects downstream equipment. They work for minerals, powders, grains, plastics, and recycled materials.

Installation is flexible. Secondary scrapers are mounted with adjustable brackets to maintain proper contact with the belt surface. Blade angle and tension can be customized to suit belt type, width, and material characteristics. Multi-blade setups can be used for heavy or sticky materials.

Maintenance is practical. Blades are easy to inspect and replace individually, and supporting frames are accessible for adjustments. Bearings or tension systems require minimal upkeep.
