Processing bulk material in Tanzanian industries often brings hidden risks from metal contamination. Magnetic roller separators, also called roller type magnetic separators, are built to catch ferrous particles as material flows over rollers. They protect machinery, reduce product rejection, and improve overall efficiency.
The system has a rotating roller embedded with strong permanent magnets. Material passes over the roller, and iron or steel particles are attracted to the surface. As the roller rotates past the discharge point, the collected metal drops into a separate bin, leaving clean material to continue downstream. This works for ores, powders, grains, plastics, and recycled scrap.
Installation is flexible. Rollers can be mounted on conveyor heads, hoppers, or chutes. Adjusting roller speed, magnetic strength, and gap allows the separator to match different material types and flow rates. Both single and double roller setups are available. Single rollers handle light to medium contamination, while double rollers capture residual particles for higher efficiency.
Maintenance is practical. Rollers are easy to access for inspection and cleaning, and the magnetic strength remains stable for long periods. Supporting frames, housings, and drive assemblies are provided to ensure smooth integration with existing lines.
Mining, food processing, recycling, plastics, and chemical plants rely on magnetic roller separators to keep equipment safe, maintain product quality, and reduce downtime. Each installation is calibrated according to real material flow and particle size, rather than generic specifications, making the system reliable, consistent, and ready for continuous operation in Tanzanian production environments.
