Channel Magnet

Handling bulk powders, granules, or small particles in Tanzanian plants often comes with hidden ferrous contamination that can damage equipment or reduce product quality. Channel magnets are designed to capture iron and steel particles as material flows through chutes, hoppers, or pipes.

The system consists of a magnetic channel or box with strong permanent magnets inside. Material passes through the channel, and ferrous particles are attracted to the magnetic surface while clean material continues downstream. This protects crushers, mills, grinders, and other equipment from damage. It works for food powders, chemical powders, plastics, minerals, and recycled materials.

Installation is flexible. The channel can be mounted vertically or horizontally, depending on material flow and space availability. Adjusting the number of magnetic bars, their spacing, and the channel height ensures maximum metal removal without slowing production. Multi-stage arrangements are possible for heavier contamination or finer particle capture.

Maintenance is straightforward. Magnetic bars are easy to access for inspection and cleaning, and permanent magnets retain their strength over long periods. Supporting frames or housings secure the channel safely in place and allow smooth integration with existing systems.
