Handling fine powders, granules, or flowing materials in Tanzanian plants often comes with hidden ferrous contamination that can damage equipment or reduce product quality. Magnetic rods, also called tube magnets or bar magnets, are designed to remove small iron and steel particles directly from the material flow.
The rods are fitted inside hoppers, chutes, or feed bins. As material passes around or through the rods, ferrous particles are attracted and held on the magnetic surface, while clean material continues downstream. This protects crushers, grinders, mills, and other processing equipment. It works for food powders, chemical powders, plastic pellets, minerals, and recycled materials.
Installation is flexible. Rods can be mounted individually, in clusters, or in grids depending on the contamination level and material flow. Adjusting the number of rods, spacing, and magnetic strength ensures maximum capture without slowing production.
Maintenance is straightforward. The rods are easy to access, remove, and clean. Permanent magnetic strength remains stable over long periods, reducing downtime and replacement costs. Supporting frames or housings are supplied to secure the rods safely in place.
Tanzanian industries like food processing, chemical, plastics, mining, and recycling rely on magnetic rods to maintain product quality, reduce equipment wear, and prevent interruptions in production. Each installation is designed to match actual material characteristics, particle size, and flow rate rather than standard specifications, making the system practical, efficient, and reliable for continuous operation.
