Handling powders, granules, or small bulk material in Tanzanian industries often comes with hidden metal contamination. Drawer magnets, also called magnetic drawers, are designed to remove iron and steel particles directly from the material flow while keeping production moving.
The system is installed inside hoppers, chutes, or feed bins. Material passes through the magnetic drawer, and ferrous particles are attracted to the magnetic surface. Clean material continues downstream, while the collected metal stays in the drawer until it is manually removed. This protects crushers, mills, grinders, and other equipment from damage. It works for food powders, chemical powders, plastic pellets, minerals, and recycled material.
Installation is simple. The drawer slides into the hopper or chute and can be positioned based on material flow and particle size. Multiple drawers can be arranged in series for heavier contamination or finer metal removal.
Maintenance is practical. The magnetic surface is easy to access, clean, and inspect. Permanent magnets retain their strength for long periods, reducing downtime and replacement costs. Supporting frames or housings ensure the drawer is securely fixed and safe to operate.
Tanzanian industries like food processing, chemical manufacturing, plastics, mining, and recycling rely on drawer magnets to maintain product quality, reduce equipment wear, and prevent production interruptions. Each system is customized to match actual material flow, contamination level, and particle size rather than generic specifications, making it reliable, efficient, and suitable for continuous operation.
